Supercritical Fluid Technologies, Inc. introduces the new Nex10 Liquid CO2 Pump. This robust, high capacity carbon dioxide pump is designed to boost the delivery pressure of the liquified gas up to 10,000 psi (68.9 MPa) at flow rates up to 100ml/min. It is ideally suited to deliver liquid CO2 to new and existing supercritical fluid extractors (SFEs) including SFT’s model 110 and 120 Series SFEs. It can inject high pressure CO2 into reaction chambers for supercritical fluid reaction chemistry (SFR) and any other application requiring high pressure CO2.
The Nex10’s high performance, pneumatically driven piston pump rapidly compresses liquid CO2 from tank pressure (800-900 psi) up to the pressures required for SFE, SFR, and many other high-pressure applications. Its design is based off the reliable technology that has been proven through use in SFT’s models 150 and 250 SFE. It is most suitable for applications that require continuous long time use.
This pump operates in a constant pressure mode. The flow rate automatically adjusts as needed to maintain the desired set pressure. The Nex10 has a stainless-steel fluid path. The CO2 is cooled by an internal thermoelectric cooling module, ensuring efficient pumping. Cooling jackets and baths are not required.
