Supercritical Fluid Technologies, Inc. introduces the new SFT-120 SFE. This new extractor replaces and improves upon the performance of our SFT-110.
Like its predecessor, SFT-120 has interchangeable vessels ranging in size from 5 ml to 100 ml.
Now vessel heating is faster and can be controlled more precisely by the combination of band heaters in direct contact with the pressure vessel and an integrated pre-heater. A thermocouple through the vessel wall provides a precise measurement of fluid temperature. Quick disconnects for the heater power and thermocouple make changing vessels fast and easy.
The SFT-120 is supplied with high pressure liquid CO2 from the Nex10 pump. Utilizing a high performance, pneumatically driven piston pump, this robust, high capacity carbon dioxide pump rapidly boosts the delivery pressure of the liquified gas from tank pressure (800-900 psi) up to 10,000 psi (68.9 MPa) at flow rates up to 50 ml/min. SFT-120 may be placed on top of the Nex10 pump to save bench space.
